Nobel Prize for Peace Co-recipient
Jerry White is a co-recipient of the Nobel Prize for Peace. White worked closely with the late Diana, Princess of Wales and His Majesty the late King Hussein and Queen Noor of Jordan, helping to lead the International Campaign to Ban Landmines. White recently served three years in the Obama Administration as U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, launching the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations.
Jerry White is a Senior Ashoka Fellow, recognized internationally as a social entrepreneur and currently co-chairs Global Covenant Partners, an initiative dedicated to preventing religion-related violence. White is known for leading high-impact campaigns, three of which led to international treaties: the U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Cluster Munitions Treaty, and the Landmine Ban Treaty. He is also a Professor of Practice at the University of Virginia, and CEO of Global Impact Strategies, an advanced decision analytics technology firm based in Washington, DC.
